SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Mississippi RiverKings host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs tonight at 7:05 PM at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven. Tonight is the final meeting of the season between the RiverKings and Bossier-Shreveport during the regular season, as a nine-game home stand begins for the RiverKings.

The RiverKings enter tonight's game with a record of 18-18-1 for 37 points and sixth place in the CHL Berry Conference, while the Mudbugs are 21-14-1 for 43 points and second place in the CHL Berry Conference standings. Mississippi can move into a tie for fourth place in the conference standings with a victory tonight.

The RiverKings are just 2-6-0 against the Mudbugs this season, but defeated the boys from Bossier 3-2 (shootout) in the teams' last meeting January 2nd at the DeSoto Civic Center.

Chris Richards and Patrik Levesque lead the RiverKings in goals scored with four in the season series against the Mudbugs. They are joined by Jeff Christian and Louis Dumont for the team lead in points against Bossier-Shreveport with six.

Mississippi plays tonight without defenseman Martin Kubaliak, who was waived yesterday after playing five games and scoring no points.

Tonight's non-profit MVP is Hockey for Humanity, the three-year effort of Mid-South high school hockey player Connor Nix to raise money to help build a Habitat for Humanity home in the Memphis area.

Tonight's game will be aired on the Flagship Station for RiverKings hockey, Sports 56, WHBQ-AM. Tonight's pre-game show starts at 6:50 PM and RiverKings Media Coordinator Bob Bakken will provide the play-by-play. Fans can watch the action on CHL-TV through its web casting service.
