
Bucks Sign Former Ice Ray Bennett

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Tuesday that they have signed former Corpus Christi Ice Rays forward Ryan Bennett. Bennett is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday when the Bucks host Rio Grande Valley at Laredo Energy Arena.
The 29-year-old Bennett has played in seven professional seasons including the last three in the CHL for Corpus Christi and Youngstown. In 362 career games Bennett, from Glens Falls, New York, has scored a total of 280 points (105-175280).
"We saw a lot of Ryan Bennett the last two seasons when he was with Corpus and he always played well against us," said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "He can bring some offense to our team and we need his experience and leadership to help us."
In the last two seasons with Corpus Christi Bennett put up a total of 110 points (35-75110) in 127 games. Last season with the Ice Rays he had 52 points (13-3952) in 64 games, while in the 2008-09 campaign Bennett put up a career-high 58 points (22-3658) in 63 games.
DUBE, DIEUDE-FAUVEL TO IR
The Bucks also announced on Tuesday that team captain Serge Dube has been placed on the 30-day IR while defenseman Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel has been put on the 10-day IR.
Dube has 20 points (3-1720) and a plus-19 rating in 34 games for the Bucks while Dieude-Fauvel has put up 13 points (4-913) with a plus-seven rating in 34 games this season.
