
Gamblers Sweep on the Road

The Green Bay Gamblers scored 12 goals in two games in a pair of road wins over the weekend. On Friday they defeated Chicago 5-3 and the following evening scored a season-high seven goals in a 7-2 win over Cedar Rapids. The two wins improved the Gamblers record to 6-6-1. Green Bay has played 10 of its first 13 games on the road.
Five different players scored goals and Evan Fear made 35 saves to backstop the Gamblers to a 5-3 win over the Chicago Steel on Friday at the Fox Valley Sports Arena. Goal scorers included; Gleb Murtazin, Kyler Grundy, Austin Heidemann, Luke Mylymok and Noah Prokop. Grundy also chipped in with a pair of assists for his first career USHL multi-point game.
Forward Jackson Perbix lead all scorers with a goal and two assists to lead the Gamblers to a 7-2 win over the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Saturday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. Along with Perbix, Paul Maust, Jesse Tucker, Noah Prokop, Chris Giroday Luke Mylymok and Austin Heidemann also tallied goals. Nick Leitner, who is second among all USHL defenseman in scoring, had a pair of assists. Evan Fear improved to 5-3-0 on the season turning aside 15-shots.
