Gallagher to Appear at August 18 RiverDogs Game

CHARLESTON, SC - His act is legendary. His signature hair and mustache are iconic. He is a man so renowned that he goes by only one name.

Get ready for a smashing good time, as world-famous comedian Gallagher brings his watermelon-smashing antics to Riley Park on Wednesday, August 18.

The comedy legend is scheduled to appear at the RiverDogs' game against the Rome Braves, the Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.

Fans of the outrageous performer are encouraged to get seats up close to the action as Gallagher and his "Gallagear" always gets the audience involved in the act. Be a front row fan, but "BYOP", Bring Your Own Poncho, because the Master of Melon is sure to have a messy trick or two up his striped sleeve.

Gallagher will kick off what is sure to be an interesting evening when he tosses out the first pitch; he'll even lead the RiverDogs' faithful in a rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." The action doesn't stop after the ninth inning, when the stadium becomes standup central as the inventive entertainer is set to perform for the crowd following the game.

If it's the family fun and off-the-wall entertainment that you enjoy most about a RiverDogs game, Wednesday, Aug. 18 should be grand slam with "Be Your Own Fan" and the Melon Man!
