'Gades Acquire Brosseau and St. Louis

Richmond, VA – The Richmond Renegades have traded for forwards David Brossard and Jonathan St. Louis. Brosseau was obtained from the Dayton Bombers for cash and St. Louis comes to the Renegades from the Florida Everblades in the trade for Brian Goudie.

St. Louis had one goal and seven PIM in two games with Florida this season. Brosseau had no points and eight PIM in four games with Dayton this season.

"Brosseau is a proven 30+ goal scorer," said Renegades general manager Paul Gamsby. "St. Louis is a big, gritty winger who is going to score tough goals," Gamsby added.

Brosseau has played six pro seasons and has scored at least 33 goals in each of them. He spent three years with Charlotte of the ECHL and played for Gord Dineen at Macon last season. The former New York Rangers draft pick played Major Junior hockey in the QMJHL prior to his pro career. Brosseau is from Laval, PQ.

St. Louis is a second year pro. He scored 19 goals and had 154 PIM with New Mexico of the CHL last season. He scored 33 goals and had 209 PIM for two clubs in the QMJHL in 1999-'00. He played four seasons in the "Q" before turning pro.

Brosseau will join the ‘Gades in time for tomorrow night's game vs. Columbia. St. Louis is expected to be in the lineup Saturday at Greensboro.
