
Lynx Lose Lakos; Toor, Ralph Ready to Play

AUGUSTA, GAâ The Augusta Lynx announced today that Defenseman Andre Lakos will return to his native country of Austria to play hockey. Lakos had expressed interest in playing in either the AHL or Europe since his arrival in Augusta in early October. Lakos was one of the Lynx most impressive defenseman in the first five games. Andre tallied two assists, eight shots and eight penalty minutes during his stint with the Lynx.
Defenseman Gary Toor will return to action after spending the first two weeks of season on the Injured Reserve. Toor is in his second year pro and signed with the Lynx as a free agent. He spent last season with Idaho of the WCHL and recorded 46 points in 60 games. Toor is expected to play Thursday night in Columbia.
Brad Ralph, a Center assigned to the Lynx from Phoenix, will also rejoin the Lynx on the ice after recovering from an injury sustained over the summer. Ralph was selected by the Coyotes in Round 2 and #53 overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He played 50 games with Lynx AHL affiliate Springfield during the 2000-01 season, as well as one game with the Coyotes. Ralph spent last season with former Coyotes affiliate Mississippi of the ECHL. He also is expected in the Lynx lineup on Thursday.
The Lynx begin a five game road swing tonight in Columbia, facing off at 7:05. Friday they will travel to Charleston to face the South Carolina Stingrays and return to Columbia Saturday night to battle it out with the Inferno.
