Fuel Waive Pszenyczny

INDIANAPOLIS - The ECHL's Indy Fuel announced Tuesday afternoon that defenseman Dave Pszenyczny has been activated from 21-day injured reserve and released on waivers. Pszenyczny appeared in one preseason game for the Fuel before being placed on injured reserve, where he remained through the club's first four weeks of the season.

Acquired in the offseason by Indy, the 30-year-old veteran blueliner appeared in 67 games with the ECHL's Tulsa Oilers in 2014-15, racking up 30 points (10g, 20a). Prior to that, Pszenyczny spent six seasons in the Central Hockey League split between the Missouri Mavericks and the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. In addition to winning a CHL championship with the Mudbugs in 2011, the native of Sterling Heights, Mich. served as an alternate captain for the Mavericks from 2011-2014, under current Fuel Head Coach Scott Hillman.

In 171 career ECHL games spent with the Oilers, the Reading Royals, Alaska Aces and Phoenix Roadrunners, Pszenyczny has tallied 71 points (21g, 50a) and 308 penalty minutes.

NEXT HOME GAME: Friday, November 13 vs. Alaska Aces - 7:35 p.m. Indy will host to hockey's Holy Grail as the Stanley Cup comes to the Circle City on Hockey Night in Indy. The Hockey Hall of Fame will be on hand to display the iconic trophy, as well as a selection of other NHL awards and memorabilia. ESPN analyst and hockey icon Barry Melrose will also be in attendance. In addition, all fans will leave with a commemorative Hockey Night in Indy poster.
