Frostbite fall to Jackals in shootout

GLENS FALLS, NY -- The Adirondack Frostbite suffered their second consecutive one-goal loss on Friday, falling to the Elmira Jackals 3-2 in a shootout in front of 2,331 fans at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

After a scoreless first period, Elmira got on the scoreboard 5:40 into the second period. Jason Sessa skated up the left-wing side, and beat Derek Gustafson with a wrist shot to the stick side for his seventh goal of the season.

Adirondack tied the game 6:34 into the third period with a power-play goal. Kevin Watters took a slap shot from the left-wing circle that beat Ryan McIntosh to the short side for his team-leading 21st goal of the season.

In the shootout, the Jackals scored three times on five shots, while the Frostbite managed just one goal on four shots.

The Frostbite and Jackals play the back end of their home-and-home series on Saturday, with face-off set for 7:05 p.m. at First Arena. Catch all of the action on WCKM 98.5 starting with the pre-game show at 6:45.
