IHL 2 Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to Face-Off

January 6, 2006 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

The Kalamazoo Wings will continue their current road trip, with game three of the four game road swing against the Roanoke Valley Vipers. Tonight will be the 26th meeting between the franchises; however, this will be the first-time the K-Wings have played the former Port Huron Beacons in their new home in Roanoke.

The K-Wings will be looking to extend their season high four-game road winning streak. Kalamazoo enters the night two points ahead of the Muskegon Fury for the top spot in both the UHL and the Central Division. Tonight will also be the first of two consecutive games for the K-Wings in Roanoke against the Vipers.

Roanoke comes into this game trying to snap a four-game winless streak. The Vipers are currently in the middle of a home stretch that has kept them at the Civic Center for 11 of their next 15 games. Roanoke enters the game in fourth place in the Eastern Division; however, they are just a point behind Richmond for third place.
