KINNIE RETURNS

This week the Generals signed last year's rookie sensation Mike Kinnie. Kinnie, 23, was a leading candidate for UHL rookie of the year last season before being called up to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. A native of Shelby Township, Kinnie had 81 points (37 goals and 44 assists) last season in his 72 games with the Flint Generals. Kinnie finished last season among the UHL scoring leaders and earned a spot on the UHL All-Rookie Team.

DUHART RETURNS

Tonight's game also marks the return to Perani Arena for Jim Duhart as a member of the Missouri River Otters.

Duhart, 34, played five seasons with the Flint Generals from 2000-2005, scoring 211 goals and 175 assists in 321 games. Duhart was named captain of the River otters on Wednesday. Duhart has scored a point in all twelve games that he has played with the River Otters. The longest point streak in Missouri team history is 14 games, set by Jeremy Rebek during the 1999-2000 season.

Kids, 12 and under, are admitted into tonight's game for FREE.

FLINT PENALTY KILLING REMAINS STELLAR

The Generals remain first in the UHL in road penalty killing (91.3%) allowing only 9 goals in 104 shorthanded situations. The Generals are second in the UHL in overall penalty killing (87.5%).

FLINT 3-0 AGAINST MISSOURI

The Flint Generals have defeated the Missouri River Otters all three times the teams have met this year.

LAST GAME FOR EACH TEAM - WINS OVER PORT HURON

MISSOURI Brenden Cuthbert made 40 saves to pick up his first professional victory as the Missouri River Otters rode a balanced scoring attack to a 5-4 victory against the Port Huron Flags Wednesday night at McMorran Arena.

FLINT Closed out 2005 with a win at home against Port Huron. Matt Elich had a pair of goals and Jason Saal picked up his 9th win of the season. Saal remains among the league leaders in minutes played with 1331.14.
