ELMIRA, NY - Kevin Watters scored two goals, and added an assist, to help lead the Adirondack Frostbite to a 5-3 win over the Elmira Jackals in front of 2,876 fans at First Arena.

Elmira took a 1-0 lead at the 7:03 mark of the first period. Josh Tataryn skated down the right-wing side and threw a puck to the front of the net. The puck beat goaltender Derek Gustafson to the near post, giving Tataryn his 16th goal of the season.

Adirondack answered just 59 seconds later, scoring a power-play goal. Hugo Belanger's shot from the center point was turned aside by Nick Boucher, but Watters gathered in the rebound at the top of the crease, and slid a shot in for his team-leading 29th of the season.

The Frostbite took their first lead of the night with just 7.4 seconds remaining in the period. Sylvain Cloutier centered a pass in front for Mike Berry, who chipped the puck over Boucher's shoulder into the top of the net for his 20th goal of the year.

Ryan Bennett extended the Frostbite lead 12:03 into the second period. After Mark Hurtubise lost control of the puck at the crease, Bennett was able to gather in the loose puck and beat Boucher with a quick shot for his ninth goal of the season.

The Frostbite took a 4-1 lead into the third period after a power-play tally at 19:22 of the second. Bob Rapoza had the puck at his own blue line, and fed a perfect pass for Cloutier cutting in behind the Jackals' defense. Cloutier came in and beat Boucher with a wrist shot for his 17th of the season.

Elmira pulled back within two with a power-play tally 5:54 into the final period. Jarrett Konkle hit Kevin Cooper streaking up the right-wing side, and Cooper beat Gustafson with a quick wrister for his 24th of the season.

The Jackals power-play went back to work, and pulled Elmira within one at 10:13. Jason Sessa beat Gustafson with a long-range wrister from the left-wing circle for his 15th of the season to make it 4-3.

But, the Frostbite power-play scored for the third time on the night at the 14:06 mark to go back on top by two. Dmitri Suur hit Watters at the top of the right-wing circle, and he beat Boucher with a low wrist shot for his second of the night and 30th of the season.
