Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the first and last time in the regular season, the Kalamazoo Wings will play the Richmond RiverDogs. The last time these teams played was January 22, 2005 in Richmond, where the RiverDogs ended the K-Wings United Hockey League record tying 12-game winning streak.
The K-Wings will look to end their four-game home stand on a winning note. Kalamazoo, who is 2-1-0 in the first three games of the home stand, lost 5-2 last night to Motor City. The K-Wings start the night just three points behind the Muskegon Fury for first place in the Central Division.
Since the beginning of 2006, we have seen a different attitude from the Richmond RiverDogs. In the 2005 portion of their schedule, the "ËDogs went 12-16-3. Since the new year, Richmond has gone 12-6-2, including a record of 13-1-2 in their last 16 games.

Labenski Reaches Milestone
Last night defenseman Greg Labenski played in his 400th career game. Labenski celebrated his 400th by scoring his 9th goal of the season. The goal, which was also his 8th power-play goal of the year, places Labenski 2nd among defensemen in man-advantage goals scored.
Beast of the East
While tonight is the lone game against Richmond this season, Kalamazoo has faired well against the Eastern Division. So far this season, the K-Wings are 8-2-0 against teams from the east.

The K-Wings are concluding their four-game home stand tonight against Richmond. So far, the K-Wings, who are 17-5-2 at Wings Stadium this season, are 2-1-0 during this current home stand
