Frontenacs Select Ian Derungs of Switzerland in the 2018 CHL Import Draft

Kingston - The Kingston Frontenacs have selected forward Ian Derungs with the 39th pick in the 2018 CHL Import Draft.

"Ian is a very competitive, tireless worker that can also put up some points for us." said Darren Keily, General Manager of the Kingston Frontenacs.

Deroungs, a 5'08", 161 lbs. Frauenfeld, SUI native born on Dec 31st, 1999, was selected by the Frontenacs in the 1st round of the 2018 CHL Import Draft. He spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with Kloten U20 of the Elite Jr. A league in Switzerland where he posted 52 points (33 goals, 19 assists) in 38 games.

Keily added "Ian's experience and character will be vital to our younger group this coming season"

The Kingston Frontenacs open 2018-19 Training Camp at the end of August. More information will be released closer to camp.
