Greyhounds Take Pair in CHL Import Update

The 27th Annual CHL Import Draft began online at 11 AM this morning.
Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis entered the days event with a pair of selections available, starting with the 58th overall pick.
With that first selection, the defending Hamilton Spectator Trophy winners selected ROMAN PUCEKfrom the Czech Republic.
The 6.02, 168-lb forward played the 2017-18 season with HC Vsetin U18 of the Czech U18 league.
In 41 regular season games played, Pucek notched 26 goals to go along with 47 assists, good for 73 points.

The Greyhounds next selection is slated as the 118th overall pick in Round 2.
NOTE:
- Previous Import Selections RASMUS SANDIN and RASMUS KUPARI were both protected on the NHL Reserve list by the Greyhounds, based on their 1st Round Selections in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
2ND ROUND; JAROMIR PYTLIK
With the second pick (originally 118th overall) of the the 27th Annual CHL Import Draft, Soo Greyhounds GM Kyle Raftis made his second selection of the day from the Czech Republic.
Centreman JAROMIR PYTLIK was chosen from the HC Zdar nad Sazavou league.
Pytlik, a 6.02, 192-lb centreman split the past season with Sazavou in both the Czech U18 and Czech3 leagues.
In 21 games played with the Czech U18 squad, Jaromir recorded 13 goals and 23 assists, good for 36 points while with the Czech3 squad he notched 14 goals and 11 assists, good for 25 points.
Pytlik competed Internationally at both the U17 and U18 tournaments with a combined 13 goals and 6 assists in 39 games played.
