
Frontenacs fall in opener

Kingston Frontenacs News Release
Dan Revelle's home coming goal was not enough as the Mississauga IceDogs beat Kingston Frontenacs 4 - 1 in front of a near capacity crowd at the Kingston Memorial Centre.
Revelle opened the scoring for the Fronts, assisted by Evan Kotsopoulos and Derek Lyons early in the 2nd period but the IceDogs replied with three unanswered goals in the period and another in the third.
Anthony Stewart created physical excitement closing the 2nd period.
21-seconds remaining in the game Derek Lyons was handed a Game Misconduct for instigating minor and fighting major.
Mississauga outshot Kingston 32 - 27. Dayne Davis went the distance in net for the Frontenacs.
Andrew Raycroft, Frontenacs Alumni Goalie and this past season's NHL Calder Memorial Trophy Award Winner (Rookie Of The Year) dropped the puck during the ceremonial face-off.
Kingston travels to Brampton this Sunday (2:00PM) then return home to face Belleville on Friday, October 1st (7:30PM).
