Frogs Drop Second Game in Series, 11-4

EVERETT, Wash. - Despite scoring first, the Frogs were unable to maintain their lead, falling 11-4 to Tri-City after pulling three position players to pitch in the last four innings of the game.

Cade Marlowe led off the bottom of the second inning with a triple, easily scoring after Carter Bins grounded out to shortstop. Tri-City took a 2-1 lead in the third inning after Matthew Acosta hit a line drive RBI followed by a double from Kelvin Melean. Kelvin Alarcon and Jordy Barley tacked on two more runs in the fourth and fifth innings with a solo homerun apiece, giving the Dust Devils a 4-1 lead.

DeAires Moses crushed a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth, just before Connor Hoover smoked a solo shot to center field, tying the game.

The Dust Devils took back the lead in the sixth inning with Reinaldo Ilarraza's two-run home run; after two more home runs, an RBI single and an RBI double for the Dust Devils, combined with a three-up, three-down bottom of the ninth for the 'Sox, the AquaSox were unable to come back from the 11-4 deficit.

At the plate, the Frogs had seven hits, including one double, one triple and two home runs. On the mound, Brandon Williamson completed two innings, striking out five and giving up one hit. Position players Cash Gladfelter, Juan Camacho and Luis Joseph pitched a total of four innings.
