(Avista Stadium - Spokane, WA) - A bases loaded walk from RHP Parker Caracci allowed the Spokane Indians to come from behind in extra innings topping the Canadians 2-1 on a Saturday night that featured a scoreless inning from Toronto Blue Jays 1st Rounder RHP Alek Manoah.

The #11 overall pick from the 2019 MLB First-Year Player Draft pitched the bottom of the 1st inning allowing a hit while striking out two as the former West Virginia Mountaineer made his professional debut in Spokane, Washington.

Vancouver's lone run came in the top of the 2nd inning when SS Ronny Brito reached second on a two-base error from RF Starling Joseph who misjudged a fly ball. Brito would advance to third base on a ground out from LF Dom Abbadessa and score on a single from RF Adrian Ramos, hit off Spokane starter RHP Ricky Vanasco who went three innings allowing the unearned run.

Canadians RHP William Gaston went six scoreless innings in his best outing of the summer allowing just four hits and striking out six. LHP Grayson Huffman came in to pitch the bottom of the 8th inning trying to hold onto a slender 1-0 lead but gave up the equalizer when he allowed a two-out walk to 1B Blaine Crim and then a towering double to DH Luis Asuncion.

After the Canadians failed to score off Indians closer RHP Daniel Robert in the top of the 10th inning, Spokane completed its comeback in the home half of the frame when after loading the bases off of Canadians RHP Parker Caracci, the right-hander walked RF Starling Joseph, plating 2B Kenan Irizarry (started inning at second base as per MiLB extra innings rule) to secure the win.

With the loss, Vancouver falls to 2-3 (.400) while the Indians improve to 3-2 (.600) with Sunday's series rubber match set for 5:09pm out at Avista Stadium. The Canadians send RHP Adam Kloffenstein (2-2, 2.64) who gets the ball in hopes of securing the series.
