Frisco RoughRiders News Release
After falling behind 6-0 in the top of the first inning, it looked like Frisco was headed to its seventh straight loss on Friday night. But the club rallied for six runs and pushed the winning run across home plate in the bottom of the eighth inning, beating Northwest Arkansas, 7-6.
With the game tied 6-6 in the bottom of the eighth, Frisco left fielder Jonathan Greene scored to give Frisco its first lead of the series at 7-6. Greene came home on a throwing error by Naturals second baseman Anthony Seratelli. Friday night was one of the best games of the season for Greene, as he went 3-4 with one run and two RBI. Center field James Tomlin continued his hot hitting, collecting another multi-hit game with a 2-4 night. His lone RBI came in the bottom of the first inning on a run-scoring double to get Frisco on the board at 6-1.
Beau Jones picked up the win for Frisco, working four scoreless innings. He allowed one hit and struck out two, recording his second win of the season.
Frisco (60-56) will begin a three-game series with Tulsa on Saturday night, with Elizardo Ramirez (0-1, 3.86) looking for his first win as a member of the RoughRiders. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
