Ray Winder Field, Little Rock, AR - Nate Gold knocked in six runs to lead the Frisco RoughRiders (26-25) to a doubleheader sweep from the Arkansas Travelers (17-34). In the second game, Gold capped a four-run rally in the first inning with a three-run homer as the Riders crushed the Travs 14-3. Kevin Richardson also homered (4) in the opener and drove in two runs against losing pitcher LHP Daniel Davidson (1-5). Davidson allowed five runs on nine hits over five innings. David Gates homered (4) for the third time in four games while Matt Brown and Eric Rodland each collected two RBI.

GAME ONE

Frisco DH Jim Fasano led off the second inning with a single to right field and Davidson responded by retiring the next two batters. Jake Blalock worked a two-out walk before Richardson lined a double past third base to score Fasano for a 1-0 Riders lead.

Arkansas 1B Greg Porter began the bottom of the second with a single off Frisco LHP Fabio Castro. Jason Aspito moved Porter to third base with a double to right field. After two outs, Rodland grounded a base hit to center to plate both runners for a 2-1 Travs lead.

With one away at the top of the third inning, Enrique Cruz reached on a slow dribbler to third and advanced to second base when Davidson walked Adam Morrissey. After recording the second out, Davidson moved the runners up one base with a wild pitch. Gold then bounced a single over the mound to score two runs for a 3-2 Frisco lead.

Frisco scored two more runs in the fourth inning as Richardson hit a one-out solo homer to center. Kevin Mahar doubled with two outs down the third-base line and scored when Cruz's smash hit off Brown's glove at third base for an RBI single for a 5-2 Frisco lead.

RHP Jesse Chavez (2) closed the game with a shutout seventh inning for the save.

Gold hammered a 2-0 pitch over the centerfield wall for a 4-0 lead.
