
French Reassigned to Steelheads

Boise, ID - Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Saturday that rookie forward Max French has been reassigned to Idaho by the American Hockey League's Texas Stars.
French, 25, was recalled to Texas on February 27th, his second call-up of the season. The West Kelowna, BC native has appeared in 16 games with the Steelheads this season, netting eight goals and 11 points. Prior to his recall to Texas, French netted six goals during a four-game goal scoring streak.
French has appeared in 27 games with the Stars this season, recording four goals and seven points.
The rookie played four years at Bentley University prior to this year, serving as captain last season and as an assistant captain in 2015-16. The 5-foot-10 forward tallied 17 goals and 39 points in 38 games last season for Bentley, and he was even stronger the year prior when he racked up 23 goals and 47 points in 32 games. French was named First Team All-Atlantic Hockey each of the last two years and finished his four-year college career with 67 goals and 143 points in 138 contests.
Rookie defenseman Shane Hanna was recalled to AHL Texas on Friday. Hanna has totaled five goals and 17 points in 41 ECHL games this season.
The Steelheads close out the home portion of their regular-season schedule Saturday night at CenturyLink Arena, hosting their final meeting of the season with the Utah Grizzlies. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7:05pm MT. The game can be heard on 93.1FM KTIK and seen on ECHLTV.
