ROOKIE ON THE RISE
Evan Jasper notched his 50th point of the season during his 16th multi-point game last night. The rookie is just the third first-year skater in franchise history to achieve 50 points in a season. Jasper trails Ahti Oksanen who notched 52 points (21G, 31A) last season and Marc-Olivier Vallerand who earned 53 points (28G, 25A) during the clubs inaugural season. The Whitby, Ontario native leads the team in scoring this year and ranks seventh among all rookies with 21 goals and 29 assists.
RIMMER ROUND THE ROSIE
Goaltender Ty Rimmermade 41 saves on the Everblades last night during his franchise best 41st game. The netminder is the first goaltender to make over 1,200 saves in a season for the club and is third in the ECHL behind Ty Reichenbach and Joel Martin who have played over 250 minutes more than the fifth-year goaltender.
TOP MAN IN THE SUN
Forward Hunter Fejes leads the Solar Bears in scoring with 58 points (29G, 29A) in 66 games. The Solar Bears top producer began the year in Wheeling but was acquired at the halfway point of the season and has earned 31 points (13G, 18A) in 34 contests since his acquisition. In his last three games, separated by an AHL call up, Fejes has recorded seven points (4G, 3A).
CARROT BITES
Fourth-year pro Joe Basaraba has posted 10 points (3G, 7A) against the Solar Bears to lead the squad.
Greenville is 4-3-1-0 against the Solar Bears this season and tonight is the final meeting between the South Division opponents.
Defenseman Matt Prapavessis notched his fifth goal of the year and ranks 15th in franchise history with 127 games in a Greenville jersey.
Joe Perry became Orlando's top goal scorer in franchise history on Thursday netting a hat-trick. His 52nd career goal with Orlando surpassed Eric Faille for the team record.
