Florence Y'alls News Release

Florence, Ky. - This Sunday, the Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, are encouraging fans to help 'Turn the Ballpark Blue' in support of the families of the fallen officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

In a showcase of solidarity and support, the Freedom will be donating 50% of all individual ticket sales to the victim's families, and are encouraging all attending fans to wear blue.

"We've been overwhelmed by the community reaching out and asking how they can support us, and support the families in Dallas and Baton Rouge," Florence Police Chief John McDermond said. "This is a great way for NKY citizens to honor those officers and unite our community in support for the families."

In addition to supporting the families, all current NKY officers who would like to throw out a first pitch of solidarity are encouraged to email Knicko Hartung atkhartung@florencefreedom.com. The first 20 officers that respond will be welcomed on the field to throw out a synchronized ceremonial first pitch. Officers are welcome to designate a family member to throw on their behalf.

Officers who would like to thank the Northern Kentucky community for their support are encouraged to video tape themselves and post it on social media with the hashtag #FreedomGoesBlue. The videos will be shown at the stadium throughout the game.

Tickets can be purchased for Sunday's game online at FlorenceFreedom.com or at the box office by calling 859-594-4487.

Game time for Sunday is scheduled for 6:05p.m. against the Joliet Slammers, with gates opening at 5:05p.m.
