Kalamazoo, Michigan: The Freedom are still searching for a go-to bullpen guy. The pitching staff's struggles can be partially blamed on the Oakland A's waiting to sign key pitchers Joel Posey and Heath Castle, just a matter of days before opening day, during Florence's spring training. Once again Justin Roelle spot started for the Freedom, this time losing bya score of 10-3 against the Kings.

Greg Stone finally got his bat going. The Freedom lead-off hitter went 3-4, scoring two runs. Chris Brown continued his tear of Frontier League pitching by going 3-4, driving in two. Florence catcher Clint Chauncey had another great game, going 2-3 with his fourth homerun of the season. Justin Roelle (0-2) picked up the loss after giving up five runs in three innings. Freedom extra base hits finally game, with doubles from Wally Quigg and Trevor Hall, and a homer from Clint Chauncey. Hopefully for the Freedom this is a sign of a turnaround in an offense that has been marked by singles as of late.

The Freedom wrap up their series with Kalamazoo tonight, and then come home for the weekend when they welcome in Windy City for a three game set at Champion Window Field. More info can be found at www.florencefreedom.com.
