O'Fallon, Missouri: Coming into last night's game, the Freedom were the coldest team in the league, losing eight straight. The Freedom found a way to win last night's game, beating the River City Rascals 9-7 to avoid the sweep.

Greg Stone led the offense, he went 2-2 with three runs scored. Chris Brown went 1-3 with a double and an RBI. Kyle Geswein had a double and two RBI, and Greg Buscher made his one hit count with an RBI.

Mitch Goins (1-1) was the starter for the Freedom, he went five innings giving up four runs on nine hits, striking out four. Curt Moenter (2-2) picked up the win in relief, he went two innings only giving up one earned run. Lefty Drew Jackson came in for his third save of the year.

With the losing streak finally over, the Freedom look to add on to it after today's off-day, when the head to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to take on the Kings in a three game set. The Freedom return home to Champion Window Field in Florence on Saturday, when the Windy City Thunderbolts come in for a three game series.
