ThunderBolts Open Homestand On Wednesday

Crestwood, IL - The Windy City ThunderBolts return from a brief road trip and will host the Traverse City Beach Bums for a three-game series from June 7-9. The Beach Bums are visiting Hawkinson Ford Field for the first time in the club's inaugural season.

The series kicks off on Wednesday, June 7 with a 7:05pm first pitch. Delta Sonic logo baseballs will be given away to fans entering the stadium. RHP Steve Shippey (1-1) takes the mound for Traverse City against ThunderBolts RHP Josh Glynn (0-2).

Game Two of the series is a Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday at 7:05pm. Draft beer and fountain soda are only $1.00 all game long. RHP Tony Casoli (1-0) throws for the Beach Bums and Windy City counters with LHP John Hummel (1-1).

The series finale on June 9 is a Fireworks Friday sponsored by First Midwest Bank. Traverse City is scheduled to start LHP Ryan Gehring (1-1) while RHP Mike Mlotkowski (0-1) will make his home debut for the ThunderBolts at 7:05pm. A spectacular fireworks display will follow at the conclusion of the game.

Kids can run the bases after every home game courtesy of White Hen Pantry. The Kids Zone, featuring the bounce house and pitching area, is also open at every game. Young fans can get unlimited use for just $2.00.
