Florence Y'alls
Washington, Pennsylvania: Coming off the All-Star break, Florence was looking to begin the second half on a good note, but they came up short.
Florence had offense, but it wasn't from Mike Galloway, who went 0-3, with a walk. Trevor Hall managed a solo homerun, his 13th of the season. Scott Pickens hit a two run homerun, his second of the season. Mike Dennison pitched great for the Freedom, he left with a 3-2 lead after going seven innings, giving up two runs on six hits, striking out four. It was the bullpen that doomed Florence. After Dennison left, the inconsistant Justin Fuller came in. He only went a third of an inning, giving up four runs, three earned. He picked up the loss, his ERA now stands at 7.01.
The Freedom are now tied for First with Washington, with a 28-18 record. Florence plays 2 more in Washington, then head home to face the Ohio Valley Redcoats Monday, at Champion Window Field.
