South Bend Cubs News Release
SOUTH BEND, Indiana (June 16, 2015) - To show their appreciation for the nation's military service personnel, United Beverage and Budweiser have partnered with the South Bend Cubs to offer one free ticket for this year's South Bend Country Fest to anyone who has served or is currently serving in the U.S. military. The concert takes place on Saturday, June 27.
"Anytime we can show our military a little love and support, we'll do it. It's a small gesture for a very large sacrifice," said Joe Hart, President of the South Bend Cubs. "Besides, what's better than being outside with a cold beer on a summer night listening to some great music?"
The 2nd annual Country Fest is a partnership between the South Bend Cubs, B-100 FM and South Bend Parks & Recreation. Part of the proceeds from the concert will once again be used to help support South Bend Parks and Recreation Department's fund to improve handicapped accessibility for children and adults with disabilities.
Natalie Stovall will open the show. Her performance will be followed by Trick Pony. Co-headlining the concert are award-winning country artists Joe Nichols and Easton Corbin. The concert kicks off at 5:00 p.m.; gates open at 3:30 p.m. EST.
To get their free ticket, active and veteran military personnel can visit either the South Bend Cubs Box Office or the South Bend Parks and Recreation main office on O'Brien Street to show their military ID.
Tickets for Country Fest are still on sale for $35. Anyone who purchases a concert ticket will receive a complimentary ticket to see the South Bend Cubs play on any Sunday through Thursday of their choice during the remainder of the 2015 season.
