Tri-City Storm News Release
KEARNEY - Nebraska's Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League will be hosting Nebraska's Tallest T-shirt Toss on Thursday, February 19th. The team mascot, Stormy, will stand at the top of Yanney Park tower in Kearney from 5-6pm tossing purple T-shirts to fans below. Several Storm hockey players will also be available for pictures and autographs at the event.
Thursday's event will precede Saturday's Pack-It-In-Purple game where fans are encouraged to wear all purple to the game. The United Way jersey auction is also slated for this Saturday when fans will have an opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind game worn jerseys after the game. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the United Way.
"This launch party has been created as a way to encourage fans to wear all purple to the game as well as support our local United Way," stated Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Kyle Means. "We wanted to do something fun and unusual to create more interest and encourage community involvement."
All fans are welcomed to attend Thursday's T-shirt toss and meet the players at no charge. For more information, please contact the Storm offices at (308) 338-8809.
