The leading scorer for the Musketeers paced the offense as his team split last week. Da Costa scored twice (8 seconds apart) and added an assist in a 7-3 win over Tri-City on Tuesday. He then figured in all the scoring, picking up a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to Green Bay on Friday. For the week he had 14 shots on goal (10 on Tuesday) and was a +3.

CCM USHL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Lee Moffie - Waterloo Black Hawks

Wallingford, Connecticut

College - Michigan NHL - Undrafted (#210 in mid-term rankings)

Moffie had a good week for the Black Hawks and took home league honors for the second time this season. On Friday he had a pair of assists in Waterloo's 10-3 rout of Des Moines. The next night he set up two more goals in a 4-3 loss to rival Cedar Rapids. Both of his assists on Saturday came on the power play. Moffie had six shots on goal and finished the week +2.

Brett Bennett - Indiana Ice

Williamsville, New York

College - Wisconsin NHL - Phoenix (Round 5, 2006)

Bennett had another sparkling week in net for Indiana, helping them win a pair of games. On Wednesday, he made 23 saves in a 4-0 shutout win over Des Moines, his second shutout of the year. Then on Friday he stopped 33 shots in a 3-1 win over East Divsion leading Cedar Rapids. He was 2-0-0 with a 0.50 goals against average and a .982 save percentage for the week.
