Harlingen, TX - First half champion Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings slugger Ryan Fox hit his 21st home run to tie the single-season United League record in game two of tonight's doubleheader at Harlingen Field.

The blast came in the bottom of the 4th inning of off Alexandria Aces left-handed starter Brian Bunyan. The solo-shot went over the left-center field wall.

The home run tied the game 1-1. It was also the WhiteWings' first hit.

Antoin Gray (WhiteWings) and Jason Crosland (San Angelo Colts) each hit 21 home runs to set the mark last year.

Gray, a second baseman, is currently playing for Winnipeg (Northern League) and batting .291 with 11 home runs and 42 RBI in 72 games.

Crosland, a corner infielder, is back with the Colts this season and batting .295 with 16 home runs (fourth in the league) and 67 RBI.

The home run also gives Fox the United League lead, one more than Edinburg's Nelson Teilon.
