
Fox Hits Walk off Single

Bridgewater, NJ - The Somerset Patriots defeated the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs 2-1 on a walk off RBI single by Jake Fox in the bottom of the ninth inning in front of 7,687 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday evening.
The Blue Crabs scored early in the first to take a 1-0 lead on an RBI fielder's choice by Renny Osuna.
A solo homerun by Eddy Martinez-Esteve (4) in the third evened up the game at one for the Patriots.
Patriots reliever Jim Hoey (1-2) picked up the win with a scoreless inning pitched. Blue Crabs reliever Eduardo Morlan (0-3) suffered the loss, allowing the winning run in 0.2 innings pitched.
The 2013 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue on Saturday evening when they take on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs at 7:05 pm.
