Orlando Solar Bears News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, have announced that forwards Brett Findlay, T.J. Foster and Patrick Watling, along with defenseman Brenden Miller have been recalled by the Marlies.

Orlando's AHL affiliate recently clinched the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy - awarded to the team that finished the regular season with the best record - for the first time in team history; the Marlies sit atop the Eastern Conference and North Division with a 52-15-5-1 record.

Findlay, 23, finished his second season with Orlando by posting 21 points (10g-11a) and 38 penalty minutes in 22 games. Over the course of two recalls to the Marlies, he has added 17 points (6g-11a) and six penalty minutes in 39 games.

Foster, 23, spent the majority of his rookie season with the Solar Bears, logging 54 points (25g-29a) and 17 penalty minutes in 63 games. Foster finished fifth in the ECHL rookie scoring race, and his offensive totals set new records for first-year Solar Bears players. He also made his AHL debut with the Marlies, suiting up in two contests with Toronto.

Watling, 22, completed his second season with Orlando with 28 points (6g-22a) and 12 penalty minutes in 24 games.

Miller, 22, finished his first season of pro hockey with 21 points (5g-16a) and 56 penalty minutes in 57 games.

The Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, play all of their home games at the Amway Center, the 2012 Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal Sports Facility of the Year.
