
Defenseman Logan Roe Returns from AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced Monday that defenseman Logan Roe (pictured above) has returned to the team on loan from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. In addition, forward Greg Gibson was released from his ATO and then agreed to terms with the Everblades on a standard players contract (SPC).
Roe, 24, returns to the Everblades where he has totaled 15 points (2g, 13a) with a plus-23 rating in 58 games played this season. Roe went scoreless in his three appearances with Springfield during his recent call-up. Last season, the Fort Myers, Florida native logged seven assists and a plus-6 rating in 37 games during his senior season at Canisius College. The 6-4, 206-pound blueliner recorded 25 points (1g, 24a) during his four-year collegiate career with the Golden Griffins. Roe is a product of the Junior Everblades Association's youth hockey program.
Gibson, 25, originally signed an amateur tryout (ATO) with the Everblades on March 22, but has now agreed to a standard players contract (SPC). Gibson has recorded six points (5g, 1a) in nine games since joining the 'Blades, including a hat trick in his professional debut on March 25. The 5-10, 175-pound forward totaled 117 points (66g, 51a) during his four-year collegiate career with the Colonials from 2012-2016.
The Everblades will open up the 2016 Kelly Cup Playoffs against the Wheeling Nailers in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals this Friday at Germain Arena, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
