
Forwards Kantor and O'Donnell Sent from Hartford

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced forward Michael Kantor has been reassigned to the club from Hartford by New York, while forward Shawn O'Donnell has been loaned to the Road Warriors from the Wolf Pack. In addition, Greenville has signed defensemen Brendan Rempel and Derrick Pallis to contracts.
Kantor, a second-year pro and 2013 Rangers free-agent signee out of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), made one appearance with Hartford this season and notched 14 penalty minutes. Last season, the Lake Forest, Illinois native spent 27 games with the Wolf Pack and recorded 113 penalty minutes. The 22-year old also made three appearances with the Road Warriors and produced three assists and 12 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, Kantor played four seasons in the OHL with Saginaw, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury. Over 197 career games, the 6'0, 198-pound forward earned 94 points (43g, 51a) and 420 penalty minutes.
O'Donnell, 26, signed an AHL contract with the Wolf Pack on July 22, 2014 and skated in three games with Hartford to begin the season, recording 17 penalty minutes. A second-year pro out of St. Mary's University, O'Donnell made 57 appearances with the Wolf Pack during his rookie campaign in 2013-14 and earned 10 points (3g, 7a) and 85 penalty minutes. He debuted with the Florida Everblades during the 2012-13 season and produced four points (1g, 3a) in five games. He also chipped in two assists and 17 penalty minutes in 12 playoff contests with Florida.
A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, O'Donnell played four seasons of Canadian University hockey at St. Mary's University. In 103 career games, the 6'1, 192 pound winger totaled 62 points (24g, 32a), along with 84 penalty minutes.
A former member of the gold medal-winning U.S. National Under-18 Team, Rempel spent last season in the ECHL with Evansville, South Carolina and Las Vegas. Over 47 games, he notched an assist and 39 penalty minutes during his first full professional season.
The Willington, Connecticut native began his pro career with Trenton, joining the Titans at the end of the 2012-13 campaign and earning two assists, eight penalty minutes and a +4 rating in five contests. Prior to turning pro, the 23-year old played four seasons at Harvard University, where he was named the team's most improved player during his sophomore season. He recorded 11 points (1g, 10a) and 69 penalty minutes over 81 career games at Harvard.
A 6'3, 220-pound defenseman, Rempel spent the 2008-09 season with the U.S. National Under-18 Team and helped win the gold medal at the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation World Under-18 Championship.
Pallis, 25, began this season with Kalamazoo and made one appearance for the Wings. He spent all of last season with South Carolina and registered 10 points (1g, 9a), 12 penalty minutes and a +6 rating in 54 games. Overall, the Medfield, Massachusetts native has earned 28 points (4g, 24a) and 22 penalty minutes in 102 career ECHL games with Kalamazoo, South Carolina and Trenton.
A 6'1, 175-pound defenseman, Pallis spent four years at Princeton University and served as alternate captain during his senior season in 2011-12. Over 127 games, he earned 56 points (16g, 40a) and 44 penalty minutes.
