Forward Tyler Murovich Loaned from Springfield to Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Tyler Murovich ["MER oh vitch"] has been loaned to Reading from the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. In separate transactions previously completed, the Royals: (i) moved forward Andrew Sarauer to the 7-Day Injured Reserve; (ii) placed goaltender Zane Kalemba on the 3-Day Injured Reserve. The Royals also announced today that the team has added goaltender Brent Troyan as the team's Emergency Back-Up Goaltender.

This is the second time that Murovich, a first year pro from Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, has been loaned from Springfield to the Royals. He originally joined Reading on January 6 and registered four points (3g-1a) in four games prior to being recalled to Springfield on January 15. Murovich has four points (2g-2a) and nineteen penalty minutes in twenty-five games with Springfield this year. Sarauer has been on the injured reserve since December 28, 2010. He has twenty-one points (8g-13a) in twenty-eight games with Reading this year. This is Kalmeba's first trip to the IR for the Royals. He has appeared in three games for Reading (1-0-0-0, 3.94 gaa, .896 save %). This is Troyan's third stint as the Royals EBG.

The Royals return to action on Friday (January 28, 2011 @ 7:05 pm) when they'll face the Greenville Road Warriors for the first time this season at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. That night the Royals will host Educator Appreciation Night courtesy of Bellco Federal Credit Union with the first 3000 fans receiving a Royals whipe-board. The Royals game day broadcast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show presented by The Works at Wyomissing on the Royals Broadcast Network (WRAW 1340 am in Reading, www.1340wraw.com) at 6:35 pm.
