Cousineau Reassigned to Jackals

The Elmira Jackals announced Thursday that goaltender Marco Cousineau has been reassigned to the club by its NHL affiliate, the Anaheim Ducks, from its AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

With Elmira in 2010-2011, his rookie season, Cousineau is 12-7-4-0 with an .891 save percentage and a 3.37 goals-against average. In the month of January, Cousineau is 4-2-0-0 with a .921 save percentage and a 2.84 goals-against average.

Cousineau was selected in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Ducks and had a prolific junior hockey career. The St. Lazare, Quebec native helped lead Saint John to the QMJHL finals in 2009-2010 and received the Hap Emms Memorial Trophy as the top goaltender at the 2009 Memorial Cup with Drummondville.

LAMPE EXCELS AT ALL-STAR CLASSIC

Jackals rookie forward Eric Lampe won the CCM Faster Skater competition at last night's 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic presented by CCM in Bakersfield, Calif. and had a goal and two assists for the ECHL All-Stars in their victory over the Bakersfield Condors.

Lampe recorded a fastest skater time of 14.445 seconds, defeating Bakersfield's Vyacheslav Trukhno and Michael Gergen along with Gwinnett's Michael Forney.

Later in the evening, Lampe assisted on two goals for the All-Stars as they defeated Bakersfield, 9-3. He collected the All-Stars' final goal at 19:22 of the third period and was +3 in the victory.
