
K-Wings Name Two-Year Season Ticket Winners

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce the four winners of the team's Two-Year Season Ticket Holder Contest.
For the past three seasons, the K-Wings have selected members of their Two-Year Season Ticket Holder fan base to receive unique fan experience. The following are this year's recipients: Joanne Belka, Steve Battenberg, Steven Grable and Chad Smith.
Belka and Smith will each serve as assistant coach on two difference nights. Belka will be behind the bench during the K-Wings contest versus the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday, February 5th, while Smith will get his turn as assistant coach the following Saturday, February 12th, when the K-Wings host the Greenville Road Warriors.
On Monday, February 7th, Battenberg will join the "Voice of the K-Wings" Mike Modugno, as co-host of K-Wings Live, Presented by Miller Lite at Old Burdick's Wings West. Battenberg will interview head coach Nick Bootland and two players of his choosing. The show airs Monday night's from 7-8 on WLKM (95.9 FM), as well as online at www.kwings.com.
Later in the month on Saturday, February 19th, Grable will serve as radio color-commenter, as the team heads to the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio to battle the Walleye. Besides being color-commentator, Grable will travel on the team bus to the game and interview players during both of the Auto-Owners Insurance Intermission Reports.
The K-Wings will continue their season-long seven-game home stand with the second-leg this Friday, January 28th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Florida Everblades during a Frugal Fan Friday, featuring $1 beers and $1 hot dogs and Longbranch Saloon and Eatery Viva Las Vegas Elvis Night. The night will feature an Elvis costume contest with the winner receiving $300.
Single-game tickets for any of the K-Wings 36 regular season home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
