Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
GREENVILLE, SC - Recorded live this past Monday at Quaker Steak and Lube, the latest episode of "Road Warriors Live" is now available to listen to online. After a brief hiatus due to bad weather in the Upstate, the Road Warriors returned to Quaker Steak and Lube this past Sunday for another great night of hockey talk and fun on "Road Warriors Live." From 7:00 to 7:30, the "Voice of the Road Warriors" Ray Schmitt sat down with guests Dean Stork and Neil Smith - the coach and president/general manager of the Road Warriors, respectively. The trio talked about everything from the upcoming All-Star Game that Stork would coach in and Smith would commentate on, the upcoming series against the Reading Royals, and what the transition has been like in bringing a hockey team back to Greenville.
As part of the night's festivities, the Road Warriors wrapped up their inaugural "Pink in the Rink" efforts by having players out as guest bartenders from 7:00 to 9:00 at Quaker Steak and Lube. All-Stars Marc-Olivier Vallerand and Blake Parlett, along with Sam Klassen and Wes Cunningham, took drink orders and tips to benefit the Mary Kay Foundation. With hard work from the players, and generosity of the fans, just over $230 in tips were raised in the two hours.
