Bakersfield, CA - On Wednesday night, the ECHL All-Stars took on the Bakersfield Condors at the Rabobank Arena in the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic presented by CCM and brought to you by Mercy & Memorial Hospitals. Michael Ouzas of the Las Vegas Wranglers tended the net for the All-Stars, while the Condors started Josh Tjordman.

Salmon Kings' defenseman Ryan Turek was a member of the ECHL All-Stars' squad and worked alongside Steven Tarasuk of the Kalamazoo Wings for the majority of the game. The Southfield, MI native finished the game with no points and three shots on net. Turek also finished third in the evening's Reebok Hardest Shot competition, as he fired a shot clocked at 92.5 miles per hour.

Stockton's Mark Arcobello got the All-Star squad on the board first as he netted a goal from just outside the crease 2:06 after puck drop. Chris Langkow of the Alaska Aces gave the All-Star team a 2-0 advantage at the 8:54 mark after a turnover, as he beat Tjordman with a quick wrist shot from the bottom of the left faceoff circle. The All-Stars kept up the fast-paced action at 18:16 as Trenton's Ryan Ginand collected a loose puck at the right side of the slot and put home the All-Stars' third goal of the game, and final marker of the frame. Ouzas stopped all shots he faced in the opening 20 minutes, as the All-Stars outshot the Condors 14-6 in the period and took their 3-0 lead into the first intermission.

Tyler Beskorowany of the Idaho Steelheads replaced Ouzas in net for the All-Stars to begin the second frame. Joel Broda got the home side on the board 1:28 into the period as he took a pass into the slot on the rush and snapped the puck home past Beskorowany's blocker. The All-Stars regained their three-goal advantage at 5:10 when Arcobello was the beneficiary of a Tjordman turnover in the slot and backhanded his second of the night past the Bakersfield netminder. The Thunder rookie completed the hat trick at 12:34 as he took a backhand feed from Elmira's Eric Lampe on a 2-on-1 rush and slid the puck around Tjordman. Pascal Morency notched the Condors' second goal of the game at 17:32 as buried a one-time shot through Beskorowany from the slot. Morency's goal rounded out the scoring for the second frame. The ECHL All-Stars held a 25-21 shot advantage after 40 minutes and took their 5-2 lead into the third period.

Wheeling's Patrick Killeen relived Beskorowany between the pipes to finish off the contest. Ginand quickly gave the All-Stars a 6-2 advantage as just 1:12 into the period he walked out from below the left goal line and lifted a backhand shot up over the right shoulder of Tjordman. Bakersfield was quick to respond just over three minutes later off the stick of Eric Lizon. The Condors' defender used an opposing blue liner as a screen for a shot from the right faceoff circle that beat Killeen. Marc-Olivier Vallerand of the Greenville Road Warriors pushed the All-Stars' lead to 7-3 as he converted on a breakaway goal at the 7:59. The All-Stars scored their eighth goal of the night at 16:22 as Langkow slid a rebound from the top of the crease under the Bakersfield goaltender. The All-Stars capped off the scoring for the evening with just 38 seconds left in regulation as South Carolina's Josh Godfrey ripped a point shot that was tipped home by Lampe. ECHL All-Stars 9 Condors 3.

Bakersfield went 0/1 0.0% on the power play while the ECHL All-Stars finished 0/0 0.0%. The ECHL All-Stars outshout the Condors 41-29.

Arcobello earned the game's Most Valuable Player award, becoming only the eighth player in All-Star Classic History to score at least three goals in one game.

Prior to the All-Star Classic, both teams took part in the ECHL All-Star Skills Competition. The CCM Fastest Skater was Lampe, who clocked a time of 14.445 seconds around the rink. Morency took home the title in the Sherwood Hockey Accuracy Shooting, as he hit three of eight targets. The MeiGrey Group King of the Shootout contest was won by Killeen, who stopped all six shots he faced. During the first intermission, the Reebok Hardest Shot competition took place, where Godfrey came out on top with a shot recorded at 102.7 miles per hour.
