
Former Zephyr Ensberg Named NL PLayer of the Week

Metairie, LA â Former New Orleans Zephyrs and Houston Astros third baseman Morgan Ensberg, who batted .529 with three home runs and a league-leading 11 RBI last week, has been named National League Pepsi Player of the Week for June 2-8.
For the week, Ensberg was 9-for-17, compiling a slugging percentage of 1.059 and an on-base percentage of .636. His eight runs scored tied him for the league lead with two others. The 27-year old hit his first career grand slam home run on June 3 against the Orioles in a 11-6 win, setting a career-high with 4 RBI. Just two days later he added another four-RBI game when he went 3-for-4 with a home run in a 11-1 win over Baltimore. This is Ensberg's first Player of the Week Award.
