
Former Fisher Cat Zach Jackson reaches big leagues

Manchester, NH- LHP Zach Jackson made his Major League debut this week for the Milwaukee Brewers and became the 14th player to reach the Major Leagues after playing for the Fisher Cats.
The 23-year-old Jackson played with the Fisher Cats last season, going 4-3 with a 4.00 ERA in nine starts. He was traded from the Blue Jays organization to the Brewers this past off-season as part of the trade in which the Blue Jays acquired 1B Lyle Overbay. He began this season with the Triple-A Nashville Sounds and went 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA in 10 starts before getting promoted June 4. In his big league debut on Sunday, he pitched one scoreless inning against the Washington Nationals. He was originally selected by the Blue Jays in the first round (32nd overall) of the 2004 draft out of Texas A&M University.
Jackson became the 14th player that reached the Major Leagues after playing with the Fisher Cats. The full list is below. The list does not include Major League players playing for the Fisher Cats on injury rehab assignments.

It is a single admission doubleheader where the teams will play two 7-inning games with a 30-minute break between games.
