LAST TIME OUT The defending champion San Jose SaberCats emerged victorious 44-36 in a nail bitter that came down to the final play. After trailing by 16 with 3:30 left, the Brigade pulled to within one score on a 30-yard Charles Frederick touchdown catch. The Brigade defense followed with a crucial 4th down stop to give Kansas City one last chance. The Brigade were unable to pull even with a last-second touchdown as QB John Fitzgerald's hail mary was intercepted in the SaberCats end zone as time expired.
UP NEXT Next week the Brigade host the Central Division-leading Chicago Rush (4-1) at Sprint Center. Kansas City won the last time they hosted the Rush, opening the 2007 season with a 54-41 victory over the defending ArenaBowl XX champions. The Rush got their revenge in week 17 however, defeating the Brigade 48-21 and clinching the Central Division. ESPN will be in town to air the game on national television.
