Crush Release Second Year Player

April 1, 2008 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Colorado Crush News Release

DENVER, Colo. - Colorado head coach Mike Dailey bided his time through the first five weeks of the season, while other coaches were creating some heavy come-and-go roster traffic in the AFL.

After signing (6-2, 250, Rice) DL John Syptak last Thursday, Dailey has made his second move of the season and decided to release second-year player DB Chris Angel. In his one-plus year in Colorado, Angel had 107 total tackles and seven interceptions in just 16 games.

Angel, a five-year veteran of the league, had been competing for a starting role with newcomer DB Zach Norton throughout training camp. Norton was activated this past week from the injured reserve and performed well against New Orleans.
