FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Arena Football League has announced that the Georgia Force (13-2) will host their Divisional Round playoff game at Philips Arena on Sunday, July 8 at 7 p.m., on ESPN2.
The 2007 Southern Division Champion Georgia Force will return to the playoffs for the third consecutive season and will host at least one playoff game at Philips Arena. Since 2005, the Force has been one of the AFL's best at defending their home turf. Georgia has posted a 21-4 (.840) record at Philips Arena including two playoff wins in 2005 and a 7-0 record this year. The Force will look to cap off a perfect 8-0 home record when they take on the New Orleans VooDoo on Sunday, June 24 at 3:30 p.m. The last time Georgia finished the regular season 8-0 at home was in 2005 when they appeared in ArenaBowl XIX.
