
Flyers get past Winnipeg

The Winnipeg Goldeyes continue to struggle in their final series of the season.
The Goldeyes were down 13-6 by the Schaumburg Flyers at Alexian Field Saturday night.
After Winnipeg took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Schaumburg scored eight times in the fifth inning, three more in the sixth and finally twice in the eight.
The Goldeyes tallied five times in the ninth inning to make the score a little closer. Justin Justice hit a three-run home run in the ninth, while Vince Harrison knocked out a two-run dinger in the inning as well.
Ace Walker went five innings in a losing cause for Winnipeg. He allowed eight runs on 10 hits. Matt Elliot got the win for the Flyers.
The Goldeyes conclude their 2010 campaign Sunday afternoon in Schaumburg. Game time is 1:20 p.m.
