Sunrise, FL. Former NBA All-Stars Tim Hardaway and Cedric Ceballos will battle on the Florida Pit Bulls home court at the BankAtlantic Center on November 5th during the Pit Bulls home opener. The ABA Florida Pit Bulls announced their inaugural season will tip-off on the road on October 30th at the Pittsburgh Xplosion before coming home against the Orange County Buzz and Cedric Ceballos at 7pm.
"Our schedule is competitive and our games will be fast paced and exciting," said Pit Bulls' co-owner and player/coach Tim Hardaway. "We play each of our division rivals twice at home which will give the fans some familiarity with our rivals and lead to a great first season. Plus, all of our games besides Sunday games will start at 7pm - which I believe is the perfect start time for families to come out and enjoy the entire ABA entertainment experience."
The Pit Bulls, who complete in the Blue Division, will play 36 regular season games, including 18 at the BankAtlantic Center. The home-opener was originally scheduled against the Chattanooga Steamers but was altered to feature a star-studded clash of former NBA players Ceballos and Hardaway.
Ceballos, who plays for the Buzz, won the 1992 NBA Slam Dunmk Contest when he played for the Phoenix Suns. "It's going to be fun to face Cedric again," said Hardaway. "We played against each other in the league and he was always an exciting player to watch. It will be great for our fans to start the season off with such an exciting match up."
Season seats for the Pit Bulls are currently on sale by calling 1 888 4 TIM TIX. The Pit Bulls will provide South Florida with fast paced, high-caliber professional basketball. Fans attending the games will enjoy interactive activities, in-game promotions and autograph sessions. Additionally, after each home game as part of ABA Entertainment, the Pit Bulls will host a concert featuring some of the hottest Hip Hop, R & B and Latin recording artists in the country.
Other home contests include November 15th vs the Nashville Rhythm, November 21st vs the Charlotte Krunk and November 29th vs the Atlanta Vision.
