Florida Panthers assign LW Tanner Glass to Rochester

(SUNRISE, FL) - Florida Panthers General Manager Jacques Martin announced today that the team has assigned LW Tanner Glass to the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Glass, 24, played in three preseason games with the Panthers, recording one assist with 16 PIM. The Regina, Saskatchewan native appeared in 41 games with the Panthers during the 2007-08 season scoring one goal with one assist and 39 PIM. He also played in 43 games for Rochester last year, recording 11 points (6-5-11) and 84 PIM. With the move, the Panthers training camp roster now stands at 26 players.

The Panthers complete their preseason slate on Monday, Oct. 6 when they host the NY Islanders at 7:30 p.m. Florida opens the 2008-09 regular season in Carolina against the Hurricanes on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m., before hosting the Atlanta Thrashers in the club's home opener on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. For ticket information please call (954) 835-PUCK.
