Moose Jaw Warriors News Release

There is plenty on tap for the Moose Jaw Warriors and fans this week (Nov. 14-20) at the Hangar.

KORCZAK RETURNS

The Warriors received a big boost on Monday as the New York Rangers reassigned 20-year-old forward Ryder Korczak to the WHL.

Korczak had 25 goals and 79 points in 68 games last season for the Warriors. He's expected to arrive back in the Friendly City later this week.

LOOKING BACK

The Warriors came away with four out of a possible six points last week during a busy three-game week.

Moose Jaw opened the week with a dominating 7-2 win over Edmonton on Tuesday and then came away with a split in its home-and-home set against Medicine Hat, winning 5-4 in a shootout on Friday and falling 5-1 at home on Saturday.

The Warriors are now 11-7-0-0 this season and tied for fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.

HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER

The Warriors are preparing to host the organization's third annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night this Friday.

The team will be wearing special edition purple jerseys, designed this season by Cole Fraser.

The night will include: a silent auction of the team's game-worn jerseys, Paul Busse returns to perform the national anthem, a ceremonial face-off with cancer survivors and family members who have lost their battle and more.

There is also an online auction running until next Monday for game-worn jerseys from Atley Calvert, Jagger Firkus, Denton Mateychuk and Brayden Yager.

All proceeds from the auctions will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society - Saskatchewan Division.

Two-For-Tuesday returns this week when the Warriors host the Prince Albert Raiders to open the week on Tuesday night, sponsored by Great Western Brewing.

Take advantage of amazing two-for-one tickets, small pop, small popcorn, regular hot dogs and two 16oz beers for $12.
