NEWS & NOTES:
Last Game:. After a stunning win at home over the Red Deer Rebels the Wheat Kings suffered an 8-3 loss at the hands of the Winnipeg Ice inside Wayne Fleming Arena Saturday night. In a game where the Wheat Kings got themselves into penalty trouble midway though the game, the potent offense of the Ice took over scoring 3 goals in the second period and then 3 more in the third period. One Wheat King player who had a solid game was Rylen Roersma who scored a pair of goals. It was only the second time all season where a Wheat King player had a multi goal game.
Nov 15th @ Swift Current: For the first time this season, the Wheat Kings faceoff against the Swift Current Broncos. The Broncos are a club with a great foundation of young prospects and draft picks including Pittsburgh Penguins first rounder Owen Pickering. The Broncos have also won 7 of their last 9 games. This will be the first of a 4 game in 5 day stretch for the Brandon Wheat Kings who play Tuesday in Swift Current, Wednesday in Medicine Hat, Friday in Edmonton and Saturday night in Red Deer.
Shootout Milestone: LastFriday night was the first time in franchise history where all 3 shooters in the shootout scored.
