
Flames Sign Filipowicz

Saint John, NB â The Saint John Flames announced today the signing of 26-year-old defenceman Jayme Filipowicz to a 25-game Professional Tryout Agreement.
FILIPOWICZ began the season with the Richmond Renegades of the East Coast Hockey League recording 9 points (1 goal, 8 assists) and 36 penalty minutes in 20 contests. The 6'2", 212 lb native of Arlington Heights, Illinois, spent all of last season with the Quebec Citadelles of the American Hockey League.
Filipowicz will be available for the Flames contest tomorrow versus the St. John's Maple Leafs.
The Flames today also announced that Jeff Sullivan has been released from his PTO. Sullivan will rejoin the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL.
The Flames see action four times this week with two contests against each of the St. John's Maple Leafs and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The Flames visit the Maple Leafs at Mile One Stadium in Newfoundland tomorrow night, Tuesday, November 26 at 7:05 PM and Wednesday, November 27 at 7:05 PM before returning home to host the Penguins at Harbour Station on Friday, November 29 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, November 30 at 7:00 PM.

The 2002-03 season marks the Saint John Flames' tenth as a member of the AHL and as the primary development organization of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames.
